Today I went to a different tower to bell-ring for a wedding.
Then made over 100 cups of tea for a Bell-ringing Striking Competition at St. Mary's Church, Sunbury.
A striking competition is when ringers from all over come together, make up a team or 'band' of 8 and have to ring perfectly for 15 mins doing up to 2040 changes from memory in order to win the coveted 'Bell' Trophy! It's super tricky and my 96 year old Grandpa got roped (hah clever!) in to ringing too!
