Day 32 #The100DayProject

#100daysofPeggy

 Peggy needs your Vote!
(Election Day in the UK)

~

#100daysofhappys
It's exhausting, zombifyed days like these when this project comes into it's own.
Its hard to find 'happys' so you have to make them!
And instead of feeling low and dejected I have made myself calm and happier by rooting around for some stress relief!

A Mishmash of perks not in any order:
1. A relaxing hot bath to ease the tension and Youtube vlogger watching- I love 'Sprinkle of Glitter', there I said it! She's hilarious and so lovable and I see alot of her in me.
Check out her blog: http://sprinkleofglitter.blogspot.co.uk/

2. Tea and cake- my saving grace when I get home from work.

3. And today being 'voting day' in the UK thankfully the polling station is next to a Waitrose-
cue unnecessary exciting new dessert discovery!

4. In the post today came by order of 'The Mousehole Cat'. A beautiful animation based on a picture book about a fisherman who takes his loyal cat, Mowzer with him to brave the stormy seas to catch fish, the storm is illustrated as the Storm Cat and Mowzer calms the storm with her 'tuneful' pur.
It's one of those nostalgic childhood cartoons that has to be reviewed however old I am!
And possibly if your huge Cat-lover!

Day 28 #the100DayProject

#100daysofPeggy

Yesterday was World Naked Gardening Day
so here is Peggy in the nude, gardening.

#100daysofhappys
This morning I had a Peggy-scare. It was very clear that her wheel (which is usually poo-covered) and her food bowl (which is usually half empty) had been untouched! I gave her a little prod to find she was awake and very huffly so took her out of her nesting box to find her claw fully attached to her blanket. She was stuck! Poor Pegs! After freeing her and making it look like it was night time (she isn't the cleverest of hogs) I let her do her nightly duties. After which I gave her a lovely clean cage. (once she had done her modelling job of course!)

Then it was off to a 20s/30s social Christian event for lunch- which was lovely! and had one of those 'Crazy small world we live in' moments!

Then it was back to the parentals for some posh nosh and wine!
ON A SCHOOL NIGHT! Hooray for the bank holiday!

#100daysofhappys

Today I went to the Rose Theatre, Kingston to see the touring production of 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas' - I love the film and I love the novel which this adaptation was based on.
I cried throughout most of it!
Its 70 years since V.E Day- the day on which the Second World war in Europe ended. At the Rose Theatre there was a bunker installation complete with Glenn Miller soundtrack and 40s war-time recordings and memorabilia- must have known I was coming!

This afternoon my parents and the cats (who had to wait until they were fed!) and I waited impatiently round the TV for the first public appearance of the new Royal Princess born this morning at 8:34am (BST) weighing 8lb 3oz. The Duchess of Cambridge looked stunning despite having just given birth this morning! Kate is my idol. I love her style; she is so down-to-earth.
Makes me proud to be British!

Day 26 #the100dayproject

#100daysofhappys

A strange amalgamation (long and impressive word for a Friday night!) of pics summing up small burst of happiness through my day.

1. Ballroom/Latin shoes: This is an over-hang of happiness from last night.
Day 25 was Waltz and Ch Cha night. At my second dance class of the week the standard is high and experience of 7 years + so with my 1 year experience I'd say I'm doing pretty well keeping up! There is great pressure as one couple dances and all the rest watch. No music, just the instructor calling out the figures and steps *daunting* I danced the waltz and it went so well with a round of applause at the end from all 16 observers and comments from the 'experts' on how beautiful and correct it looked! I did stop breathing in deep concentration half way through but thats a minor fault!

2. Newt: Today at work we found a newt. Any other day it would have been gawped at and thrown back into the pond however with short staffing and no plan the newt saved the afternoon! Cue- still life newt drawing, relating newt to the terms plants and animals topic and general behaviour management: 'if you don't listen, the newt gets it!'

3. holy guacamoly! Surely people have better things to do that read my ramblings?  But anyhoo woohoo! keep procrastinating!

4. Enough said.

Day 25 #the100DayProject

A Quarter of the way through the Project *celebratory jig*

Peggy looks at her Baby pictures.

That's an 8 week old Peggy on the screen- she doesn't look her age!

 #100daysofhappys
Despite not being able to smell or taste anything I treated myself to this yumtastic dairy milk which I have devoured- it was to help me get through an afternoon of PE (eugh!)

Due to my flueyness I have that 'so called: Sexy' voice that Phoebe (from friends) puts to good use so I have been blues-ing it up in the car singing to Postmodern Jukebox (who I talk about here)

and in celebration of today being Day 25 of the 100 Day Project here is Peggy showing her excited appreciation!

Working in a Primary school you hear funny things mostly from the children.

However there is a great amount of things that us teachers say- in the classroom they make sense but

out of context I think they are pretty humorous!

Day 23 #The100DayProject

#100daysofhappys
Nope unfortunately not a wedding photo,
but today at school was lets cover Miss top to toe with blossom day!

The garden was beautifully decorated in fallen blossom petals- in the sun it was like a fairy glade. It was quite nice being showered with petals although the cleaning of my hair afterward (by the children) was not. We encourage the children to develop role play skills so a good opportunity for being 'Hairdresser' to 'clean' Miss' hair (but to the child who said 'We need scissors!' No thanks,  I do not want an impromptu trim!)

A child tried insulting me with some back-chat, in a very out-of-character Eastender's accent and said:
'your FACE looks like your FACE!'...
I don't know if it flattered me or was meant to make me shudder...i'll remember that remark next time when I need a good comeback!

Yes, that is a picture of a toilet.
"that was a lovely loo, I do like a nice loo"
- if your not a Mirfanda then you won't get that.

A productive morning bathing the hoglet and trimming her claws much to her disapproval!
Then off to eat my weight in food with the gang
mmm...sweet potato fries :p
...and was very impressed with their loo: copper sink, victorian pully, not to mention the hand dryer!
Yes, I'm easily impressed.
