This weather plays havoc on our skin. From going outside in the bitter cold and then back into a heated house and with all the stresses and illness this time of year brings, our skin can become dry, clogged up, chapped and generally dull. If we're feeling shit inside at least we can perk ourselves up with some skin pampering to slough away the blues.

Blogmas #6: Christmas Pudding Making
The annual christmas women's evening at Duke Street Church, Richmond took place on December 3rd. This is my 3rd time at this event and each alternate year so far we have made a traditional christmas pudding or a christmas wreath. This year was the turn of pudding making with Delia's christmas pudding recipe.

*Any ounce of street cred I have is about to plummet*
Yes we all know the wistful sounds of Silent Night and the crazy descants that really make the old classics soar: ie Hark the Herald Angels, O Little Town of Bethelem and O Come all yee Faithful to name a few. But now that Advent is upon us if your classically/chorally inclined (I regret many of you arn't and will be judging me on my 'uncoolness' with this post but heyho it'd be boring if we all liked the same things!) you may like to know of some christmas choral corkers!Saturday, 3 December 2016

Blogmas #2: Pokemon Party Costume| Eevee
Last month I was invited to a Pokemon themed birthday party and you know me, I can't do fancy dress half heartedly. Scrolling through the zillions of Pokemon characters I settled for Eevee. Here's how I made her costume. I'm a hoarder so everything apart from the long haired fur, antlers and dye were already in my stash.

Blogmas #1: Autumnal Favourites
~
Clinique Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief ~Debenhams~ £34.00
~
Shea Butter Lip Butter~The Body Shop ~ £4.00
~
Pine Cone Earrings~ The Handmade Fair 2016~ £37.00
I purchased these beauts at The Handmade Fair in September this year from an this jewellery maker. His work included natural pieces made in gold, silver and copper. These earrings are delicate, light to wear and perfect for Autumn!
~
Green Tea~ PG Tips~£1.40
Warming and comforting on a cold autumnal evening. Green Tea has less caffeine and also helps with digestion too so is soothing for an after-dinner drink. Nothing much else to say about this but I've definitely rediscovered it's hygge properties.
~
Converse Trainers~ Debenhams~ £65.00
Their official name is: Converse Chuck Taylor (CT) Sloane Mono Lea HI' Flat Lace Up Sneakers. (HERE) I've been needing replacement shoes for my previous Converses which were falling apart and fancied something a bit different. Converses are so comfy, stylish and practical although I do find the original style a bit bowling shoe-esque. I went for this smart/casual style that will look good with anything: dresses/jeans/leggings. I'm loving the colour- it goes with everything and they are sooo comfortable!
